As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in planning, delivering, and reviewing environmental noise and vibration projects. Your strong technical capability, collaborative mindset, and confidence to work directly with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams will shape impactful projects while further developing your expertise within a supportive, high‑performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and review environmental noise and vibration projects.
- Collaborate with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams to provide expert acoustic advice.
- Conduct acoustic surveys, develop calculations and models, and produce clear, concise technical reports.
- Provide technical leadership on projects and ensure adherence to UK environmental legislation, policy, and guidance.
- Implement quality assurance processes for all acoustic deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Acoustics or a closely related discipline, plus an acoustics diploma.
- Full Member of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA).
- Minimum four years of experience in acoustic consultancy or an equivalent role.
- Strong understanding of acoustic principles and environmental noise assessment.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desired/Ideal Profile
- Chartered or Incorporated status.
- Experience providing technical leadership on projects.
- Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation, policy, and guidance relating to acoustics.
- Experience using CadnaA or SoundPlan.
- Familiarity with GIS and/or CAD tools.
- UK wind farm noise assessment experience.
- Knowledge of underwater noise.
- Experience in quality assurance processes.
