About the role

At Erith, our specialist asbestos division is continuing to grow, and we are looking for driven Asbestos Contracts Managers to join our teams based in London, the South East, and Wakefield. Working collaboratively with our established management team, you will play a central role in the day-to-day operational delivery of our services, supporting both our internal group divisions and our valued external client base.

You will be joining a highly experienced and supportive team committed to setting the benchmark for safety, compliance, and quality across the UK construction and demolition sectors. In this role, you will help coordinate projects from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered efficiently, fostering strong relationships with clients, and upholding our exceptional operational standards.

Key responsibilities

Manage asbestos removal contracts from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring safe, compliant and successful delivery.

Plan and coordinate labour, supervision, plant, equipment and resources across multiple projects.

Ensure all works comply with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, HSE guidance, licence conditions and company procedures.

Review and oversee Plans of Work, risk assessments, method statements and other project documentation.

Monitor programme, costs, productivity, variations and overall contract performance.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, principal contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.

Carry out regular site visits, working closely with supervisors to maintain high standards of safety, quality and performance.

Identify and manage operational, contractual and health & safety risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Lead, support and develop site teams, ensuring appropriate competence, training and standards are maintained.

Ensure contracts are effectively closed out, with accurate records, completion documentation and commercial matters resolved.

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years experience within an asbestos related management role

Extensive industry experience – inclusive of all asbestos legislation

Good communication, literacy and organisational skills;

Capability to organise and run several projects from sectors within our diverse project portfolio

Fully aware of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation with the ability to assess then produce Risk Assessment, Method Statements and

Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans

Management experience with behavioural awareness

Must be IT literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to operate programming software such as MS Project and Asta is an advantage but not essential
