About the role

Join the specialist Swantest division at Erith as a Site Technician, delivering vital structural testing, investigation, and strengthening solutions on high-profile projects across London and the Home Counties. You will become an integral part of a collaborative, multi-disciplined team of engineers providing specialist site services to the wider construction, demolition, and civil engineering sectors.

In this dynamic, hands-on role, you will carry out a diverse range of site investigation and structural testing projects. Alongside applying your existing site experience, you will receive ongoing training to expand your technical expertise across our full testing suite, including load capacity tests, pull-out tests, barrier testing, and specialist structural assessments.

Key responsibilities

The main duties of the role will involve driving from site to site, carrying out tests and recording results to allow our engineers to compile reports for clients. You will be provided with and trained in the use of various specialist testing equipment and undertaking in-situ testing, including:

At least 1 year on site experience as a site technician or material testing

Numeracy and literacy to GCSE level C or equivalent

Capable of impartially recording data and keeping site records

Clear communicator, both written and spoken English

Clean UK manual driving licence – company van will be provided

Proficient in the use of MS Excel and

Some knowledge of structures and construction materials

Willing to work on site in adverse weather conditions
