Eresby Special School is a specialist Academy for pupils aged 2 to 19 years with a diverse range of highly complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are situated in Spilsby in Lincolnshire and are fortunate to access a wide range of services and providers in our local community, with whom we are proud to work alongside.

Working collaboratively with the Therapies Lead, teachers, support staff and external professionals to support in the delivery of swimming and water-based intervention sessions that support pupils' physical development, emotional regulation, communication and wellbeing. Working under the direction of the Therapies Lead and in collaboration with physiotherapists, teachers and support staff, the post holder will support with the implementation of personalised physiotherapy programmes, delivering swimming instruction and therapeutic water-based activities, and contribute to pupils' progress through assessment and accurate record keeping.

30 hours per week, 39 term time weeks. Permanent role.

We are looking for someone who displays:

  • Willingness to undertake training relevant to the role.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Paediatric First Aid or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with additional needs and/or disabilities.
  • Experience of working collaboratively to support pupils experiencing dysregulation.
  • Experience of maintaining accurate and confidential records.
  • Experience of adapting activities to meet a range of individual needs.
  • Experience of delivering physiotherapy under the guidance of a physiotherapist.
  • Experience of delivering swimming sessions.
