The EPIC Family CIC is a community interest company based in Mid-Devon, committed to supporting vulnerable children, young people, and the individuals who care for them. Offering a variety of wraparound services, the organization operates across South West England. Established by Dan Boxall-Simpson, a foster parent and experienced professional in the fostering sector, EPIC Fostering became a part of the organization in 2025. The mission is deeply rooted in creating a supportive and impactful environment for families and workers.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Crediton, with the flexibility to work from home on occasion. The Registered Manager of EPIC Fostering will oversee fostering operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain high standards of care for children and young people. Primary responsibilities include:
- Supporting foster families
- Managing fostering staff
- Implementing policies
- Ensuring regulatory and safeguarding compliance
- Enhancing service standards
- Liaising with external professionals
- Supporting the development of a nurturing environment for all involved

Qualifications:
- Experience in fostering services, social care management, and working with children and young people
- Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding protocols, and child welfare requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to travel as needed for the role
- Formal qualification in Social Work (degree or equivalent) and registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England)
- Experience in recruiting, supporting, and supervising foster carers is desirable
- A commitment to promoting the well-being of children and young people, with a solution-focused approach
- Level 5 or minimum equivalent in Leadership/Social Care Management, or willing to work towards
