At The Entertainer, Didcot Orchard Centre, we love to create memories for all customers who come through our doors, helping to find the perfect toy or gift, keeping the shelves full and our stores welcoming. At Christmas, this is no different!
With a love of toys, customer service and an enthusiastic personality, you could be the perfect match to join our team as a Seasonal Sales Assistant.
Key Information about this role:
Rates of Pay:
- 16-20 year olds – £11.00 per hour.
- 21 year old plus – £12.21 per hour.
Contract end date: 3 January 2026.
Our stores will be open 7 days a week so you will need to be able to support us at the weekends including Sundays.
Hours available:
The hours we have available for this store are:
- 12-hour per week contract: you may work 4-hour shifts over 3 days, or you might be asked to work two 6-hour shifts.
- 20-hour per week contract: you may typically be working 4-hour shifts over 5 days.
We ask that you be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings and different days of the week, and have a great attitude and friendly personality. There may also be an opportunity to work extra hours depending on trade.
With all our Seasonal Sales Assistant contracts you will also be asked to work Christmas Eve, Boxing Day or New Years Eve – these are some of our busiest days of the year.

To be a Seasonal Sales Assistant at The Entertainer you must be:
- Reliable and flexible in what hours you can work, and willing to take extra hours if we\’re busy.
- Approachable and confident to deliver excellent customer service.
- Physically fit and able to move stock around the store, working with deliveries and pallets on your own and as a team.
- Willing and able to help out when needed in our local Tesco concession space – merchandising, keeping the shelves full, talking to customers and handling deliveries.
