About the Role

AWE is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer (Building Services) to lead professional engineering services, supporting the upkeep of assets and equipment necessary for mission delivery.

Location and Package

Location: Aldermaston, Berkshire

Salary: £47,690 – £66,000, depending on experience and suitability

Responsibilities

• Apply extensive knowledge in system design, standards, and performance throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Interpret and execute complex tasks including troubleshooting, reporting, design, and commissioning.
• Lead and advise engineering teams on innovative solutions.
• Manage risks associated with engineered systems and structures.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and safety standards.
• Support performance management and team development.
• Potentially undertake roles such as Appointed Person or Asset Change Manager.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in leading engineering projects in regulated industries such as oil & gas, aerospace, or chemical sectors.
• Knowledge of facility engineering and maintenance lifecycle.
• Experience with electrical building services, including LV/HV, HVAC, and UPS systems.
• HNC/HND/Level 4 qualification with relevant experience.
