About The Role
In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting our production across different areas of the business. If you have experience of operating CNC machinery in a precision workshop environment, and welcome variety in your day‑to‑day role, then this position could be for you.
Key Duties
- Operating machinery, including CNC machines, to ensure smooth running of batch work.
- You will need experience of CNC operating and will work alongside our programmer/setters.
- Confidently use measuring equipment to check parts as they are manufactured to ensure tolerances are maintained and alert setters when amendments to programmes are required.
- Supporting other functions in the machine shop, including loading and operating the saw, preparing material, loading onto CNC machines, operating cleaning machines, emptying swarf bins and loading/unloading material from delivery vehicles.
- Data input (where required) into our production control software.
- Participation in our continuous improvement programme by suggesting and undertaking small daily improvements to your work and sharing them with the team.
About You
- Have experience of a machine shop environment and operation of machinery including CNC machines.
- Enjoy variety and welcome the challenge to learn new skills.
- Thrive in a team‑focused environment where cooperation and flexibility are key.
- Show excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Have good communication and listening skills.
- Be reliable and able to adapt to different tasks as required.
- Forklift driving experience beneficial but not essential.
