About The Role
At Brown & Carroll we have a commitment to complete every project on time and on budget, which is why the role of Metalwork Fabricator is so important. You will be responsible for manufacturing bespoke items of metalwork to a high standard of quality and accuracy.
Your Key Duties Will Include:
- To manufacture, assemble metal components to achieve specification set out within our production drawings, ensuring quality of product is consistently achieved to meet our client's expectations.
- To ensure all production documentation is correct with regards associated components including fittings and finishes.
- To communicate and report any construction/design issues to your supervisor as they occur.
- To report faulty or damaged equipment to your supervisor as soon as it is identified.
- To aid with the resolution of construction/design issues, which have been identified within the process of manufacture.
- To ensure metal components are produced to the required standards.
- To collate all manufactured components and clearly label/account for all items required, prior to issuing to either dispatch or next department for processing.
- To be responsible for ensuring adequate protection is applied where necessary throughout the manufacturing process and prior to dispatch.
- To notify the Metalwork Foreman when current stock levels are depleting.
- To maintain open and effective communication with colleagues at all levels.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who is competent in the use of hand tools, power tools, and the following machinery:
- Brake Press
- Saws
- Pillar drills
- General Factory Machinery
- Guillotine
You should be experienced and skilled in the following processes:
- Cutting and Folding Sheet Materials
- Finishing Sheet materials and Sections
- Forming Sheet material
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
