We're partnering with one of the UK's leading financial services businesses as they continue an ambitious acquisition strategy. This is an opportunity for an experienced Transaction Services or Deals professional to step into a highly visible, commercial role where you'll help shape acquisitions from initial evaluation through to integration and value creation.
You'll work closely with senior finance leaders, corporate development professionals and key decision-makers, giving you exposure to both the strategic and financial aspects of acquisitions within a growing and acquisitive organisation. For candidates currently working within a Big 4 or Top 10 Deals practice, this offers the chance to move client-side and see transactions through the full lifecycle, while maintaining exposure to complex, high-value M&A activity.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Play a key role in a growing acquisition programme
- Move from advisory into a genuine ownership role
- Work directly with senior executives and investment stakeholders
- Broad exposure across diligence, deal execution and integration
- Significant scope for progression as the acquisition strategy expands
- Hybrid working environment with strong work-life balance
What You'll Be Doing
You’ll support and lead financial workstreams across acquisitions and strategic investments, including:
- Financial due diligence and commercial analysis
- Assessing quality of earnings, working capital and transaction risks
- Supporting transaction negotiations and deal execution
- Working alongside senior stakeholders on investment decisions
- Supporting acquisition completion and post-deal integration activities
- Helping acquired businesses transition into group reporting and governance frameworks
- Providing technical accounting support on acquisition transactions where required
This is far more than a technical accounting role and offers genuine exposure to both the commercial and strategic drivers behind acquisitions.
About You
We'd particularly like to hear from candidates currently working in:
- Transaction Services
- Deals Advisory
- Corporate Finance
You will ideally have:
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders
- An interest in acquisitions, growth strategy and value creation
Experience with acquisition accounting, IFRS 3 or purchase price allocation would be beneficial, but we're particularly interested in candidates who can bring strong transaction, valuations, diligence and commercial analysis experience.
Ready to move from advising on deals to helping drive them? This is a rare opportunity to join an acquisitive business at a pivotal stage of growth and play a meaningful role in shaping future acquisitions.
