Commercial Electrician – Solar PV Sunderland - SR3 1QU. Salary starting from £40,000 to £45,000 (dependant on experience) + vehicle (can be used in own time within reason), industry training, holidays and 4-day weeks from spring to end of summer depending on project requirements. Work is nationwide so travel and staying away are required on a regular basis.

SWS Northwest Ltd provides a full-service approach to renewable energy, covering the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Solar PV and Battery Storage. Operating predominantly as an EPC contractor within the commercial & industrial sector, SWS are going from strength to strength and have exciting plans for future projects. To facilitate this continued success, we are now looking to expand our expert installation team.
In this role you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of renewable energy systems, predominantly Solar PV. You will handle large-scale commercial installations, integrating renewable technology into existing plant rooms and three-phase power systems. Sites are located across England, travel and stay aways are required on a regular basis.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Commercial Electrician with relevant electrical qualifications and a desire to break into the renewable energy sector. Travel and stay aways are an essential part of this role so flexibility to work away from home regularly is required.

The Role:
- Installation and commissioning of Solar PV systems
- Ensure high quality installations and adhere to H&S on site
- Covering the whole of the UK
The Person:
- Qualified electrician ECS Gold Card
- Proven background working in commercial environments, three-phase systems and plant rooms
- Team player attitude
- Full UK Driving License
- Flexible to travel to sites across the UK
- Solar experience desirable
- SSSTS desirable but not essential
- Level 3 Inspection and Testing (2391 or equivalent)
- Must be able to read and implement electrical drawings
- 18th edition essential
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Full driving licence maximum 6 points and be over 25 for insurance purposes
