About the Company

We're supporting an innovative engineering and robotics organisation operating within the offshore renewable energy sector.

The business designs, manufactures, deploys and services highly specialised robotic equipment used in offshore environments worldwide.

Following significant growth and multiple acquisitions, the organisation is embarking on a global business transformation programme that will consolidate a complex application landscape onto Microsoft Dynamics 365.

This enterprise-wide programme will deliver a modern digital platform encompassing Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Asset Management, Project Operations, Field Service, CRM, Power Platform and Azure Integration Services across operations in the UK, Europe and North America.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to take ownership of the overall solution design for a large-scale Dynamics 365 transformation programme.

Working closely with the Programme Manager, Executive Sponsors, Functional Workstream Leads and Systems Integrator, you will act as the design authority across the entire Microsoft ecosystem and ensure the programme delivers a scalable, supportable and business-led solution.

This role requires someone who can balance strategic architecture decisions with practical delivery considerations and has successfully architected complex, multi-workstream D365 programmes in manufacturing, engineering or asset-intensive environments.

You'll be responsible for ensuring all workstreams align to a single solution vision whilst managing architecture governance throughout the programme lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end solution architecture across the Microsoft Dynamics 365 landscape
  • Act as Design Authority for the programme
  • Define and govern solution architecture principles, standards and patterns
  • Lead architecture workshops with business and technical stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Asset Management, Project Operations and Field Service workstreams
  • Review and approve functional and technical solution designs
  • Drive architecture governance throughout design, build, testing and deployment phases
  • Work closely with implementation partners to challenge and validate proposed solutions
  • Define integration architecture across Azure services and third-party applications
  • Oversee data architecture and migration strategy
  • Support security, compliance and environment strategy decisions
  • Ensure future-state architecture aligns with long-term business objectives
  • Provide regular architecture updates to programme governance boards
  • Support cutover planning and post-go-live transition to support teams

  • Experience architecting multi-workstream D365 solutions spanning Finance, Supply Chain, Asset Management and Operations
  • Strong knowledge of Azure integration architecture
  • Experience defining enterprise data and reporting architectures
  • Experience leading architecture governance in large programme environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience across business and technology teams
  • Experience working with global delivery teams and implementation partners
  • Highly Desirable
  • 9+ Years Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, offshore energy, utilities or asset-intensive industries
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Asset Management
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Project Operations
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Field Service
  • TOGAF certification
  • Azure Solutions Architect certification
  • Previous involvement in acquisition-related transformation programmes
  • Experience transitioning programmes into long-term BAU support models
