We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager on a contract basis to lead the delivery of SAP projects within a complex business environment. The role is UK-based and remote, focusing on the end-to-end management of SAP implementations, upgrades, or transformation programmes, working closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle of SAP initiatives (e.g. S/4HANA, ECC, Finance, Logistics, HR)
- Define and control project scope, milestones, deliverables, and timelines
- Own project governance, reporting, RAID management, and escalation
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and commercial performance
- Coordinate internal teams, SAP consultants, system integrators, and vendors
- Ensure business requirements are translated into effective SAP delivery
- Drive stakeholder engagement at all levels, including senior leadership
- Support change management, user readiness, and go-live activities
- Ensure projects are delivered to agreed quality, time, and cost parameters
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering SAP projects in a contract capacity
- Strong understanding of SAP modules and landscapes (S/4HANA, ECC, FICO, MM, SD, etc.)
- Track record of managing complex, multi-workstream SAP programmes
- Experience working with SI partners and offshore delivery teams
- Strong governance, reporting, and risk management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver in fast-paced environments
Desirable Qualifications
- PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent project management certification
- SAP certification(s)
- Experience in SAP transformation or S/4HANA migration programmes
Working Arrangements
- Fully remote role (UK-based contractors only)
- Occasional UK travel may be required
- Immediate or short-notice start preferred
