Bid Manager β Commercial Solar PV
Salary: Up to Β£80,000 (DOE) + Benefits
Location: UK (Flexible with 1 day per week in Leicestershire office)
Must Have: Right to work in the UK, Sponsorships are not available with this vacancy
My client are a growing renewable energy company specialising in the design and delivery of commercial and industrial solar PV projects. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Bid Manager to lead the production of high quality proposals and tenders that win work and build strong customer relationships.
The Role
You will manage the full bid process, working closely with sales, design, engineering and commercial teams to prepare accurate, compelling proposals. This is a key role in helping us secure new projects and continue our mission of supporting businesses on their net-zero journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and submission of bids, proposals and tender documentation
- Work closely with technical and commercial teams to develop accurate project scopes and pricing
- Manage bid timelines, ensuring all information is collected, reviewed and submitted on time
- Support pre-qualification questionnaires and framework applications
- Produce clear, customer-focused written content for bids and presentations
- Maintain a library of templates, case studies and supporting documents
- Track bid outcomes and support continuous improvement in the bid process
What Weβre Looking For
- MUST HAVE: Experience in Pre-Construction bid management
- MUST HAVE: Proven experience of winning bids for commercial scale Solar PV systems.
- Experience in bid management, proposals or tender coordination
- Background in construction, renewable energy or electrical contracting is an advantage
- Strong written communication with the ability to simplify technical detail
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery risk
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Collaborative working style and confidence engaging across different teams
