A well-established business based in Milton Park is looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone currently supporting with management accounts preparation.

Your new role

  • Working closely with the Head of Finance and wider team, you’ll support the production of accurate financial information and gain exposure to key areas of the month-end process:
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts
  • Supporting budgeting and reforecasting
  • Variance analysis and reporting
  • Balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
  • Working with large data sets and financial systems
  • Supporting audits and continuous improvement projects
  • Ad-hoc finance support across the team

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience (QBE)
  • Experience in a similar finance role (Assistant OR Junior Management Accountant / Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant)
  • Strong Excel skills are essential (pivot tables, formulas etc - assessed as part of the process)
  • Comfortable working with data and financial systems (SAP exposure beneficial)
