About the Company
Two globally recognised, innovative businesses have merged to form a Smart Manufacturing division within a PLC. With £10–12m revenues and ambitious growth plans, the business is now looking for a hands-on Finance Manager (or Senior Management Accountant ready to step up) to own the finance function and partner closely with the Finance Director as their number two.
Your new role
You’ll take ownership of day-to-day finance operations while developing and improving systems and controls. Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Reviewing VAT returns
- First approval of bank payments and oversight of payment runs
- Overseeing and supporting with transactional finance responsibilities
- Mentoring and developing junior team members as the finance team grows
- Supporting the implementation of new systems
- Improving processes as the finance function evolves
What you’ll need to succeed
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 1–2 years PQE
- Comfortable taking responsibility and ownership
- Background working up through transactional finance (e.g. AP / AR) will be advantageous
- Confident communicator with a hands-on, practical approach
What you’ll get in return
