We anticipate you have previous work experience in a luxury hotel environment.

Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Ensure efficient administration function is in operation within the department.
  • To build and maintain effective communication channels with all team members and Departmental Managers.
  • To consistently deliver Forbes & LQA standards in all aspects of service delivery.
  • Creating and implementing corrective action plans as required.
  • To be fully acquainted with the day-to-day bar operational standards and to consistently consider ways of constantly improving these.
  • To assist in reviewing and maintaining all standard operating practices including storage, control of goods, service standards and health and safety management.
  • To continuously assist with the monitoring and evaluation of The Cigar Lounge’s standards.
  • To work with the Cigar Sommeliers to develop new opportunities and initiatives based on market trends, innovations and customers expectations.
  • To continuously develop new standards to enhance service and presentation of the cigar & beverage offering.
  • Whenever possible, to anticipate guests needs to enhance quality service to heighten client satisfaction and to train others to deliver the same.
  • To ensure that all staff members are trained in the practice of responsible service of alcohol (RSA) within the bar and practice this operational standard at all times.
  • Proactively assist and support monthly stock-takes of the inventory storerooms and other areas as directed.
  • To ensure that inventoried items are stored properly and issued in rotation to minimize wastage and spoilage.
  • To ensure appropriate stock levels required by the department are maintained.
  • To ensure cigars & beverage deficits are kept to a minimum at all times and corrective action is in place as required.
  • To ensure that all goods are put away correctly and neatly and that all areas are cleaned according to the cleaning schedule.
