Position Overview: This position is critical to ensure that all sanitation requirements for our kitchen are met and a safe and professional culinary experience is had by our patients, families and staff.

Schedule: Full Time (40 hours per week) Tuesday through Saturday (Main Schedule: 11:00 am- 7:00 pm) Fridays rotate between (7:00 am-3:00 pm) and (11:00 am- 7:00 pm) Weekends as assigned, based on department needs Some holidays, as assigned

Location: RTP Inpatient and Residential Treatment Center for Children, Adolescents, and Adults, 4024 Stirrup Creek Drive, Suite 200, Durham NC 27703

Compensation Disclosure: Starting hourly range between $14-17. Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position.

How Culinary Assistants Empower Recovery:

  • Completion of any daily tasks as assigned by the Chef or Sous Chef.
  • Assists the Chef or Sous Chef with food preparation activities such as chopping, peeling, washing as directed.
  • Assists other kitchen staff with proper food and supply dating, labeling and stocking, as requested.
  • Ensures that all surfaces in the kitchen environment, to include the kitchen, dining and catering areas and all associated equipment, are clean and sanitized.
  • Washes dishes and maintains overall area cleanliness to meet ServSafe and state Food Code requirements.

Qualifications: Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is preferred.
