Work alongside the Divisional Head and Portfolio Underwriters across a range of classes & products in the Specialty Portfolio.

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- Be responsible for the adherence to the agreed business plan and ultimately, underwriting performance with primary responsibility for all Energy lines at the Company.
- Work with the Portfolio Management team to define and optimise annual plan strategy, reflective of market conditions.
- Alongside the Portfolio Underwriter, set underwriting appetite and take steps to ensure the Company’s portfolio is in line with said appetite to maintain a profitable portfolio.
- Liaise with the Account Management team and assist in strategic conversations with Broker partners when required to communicate underwriting appetite and rationale.
- Alongside the Distribution team, define, develop, and deliver the underwriting strategy and its translation into a deliverable Distribution strategy.
- Experience of working in the London and Lloyd’s insurance markets.
- Knowledge and experience across more than one class of business and a commercial understanding of underwriting.
- Track record of class level portfolio management, leading a team to build a profitable portfolio of business.
