Work alongside the Divisional Head to be primarily accountable for the Energy Division.

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Role requires input into a range of classes & products in the Energy Division, including Upstream, Midstream, Renewables, Casualty and Construction, plus underwriting leadership on a cross-functional basis.
  • Responsible for the adherence to the agreed business plan and ultimately, underwriting performance, for the Energy Division.
  • To work with the Portfolio Management team to define and optimise annual plan strategy, reflective of market conditions.
  • Alongside the Divisional Head, set underwriting appetite and take steps to ensure the Company’s portfolio is in line with said appetite to maintain a profitable portfolio.
  • Track record of Energy class level portfolio management, leading a team to build a profitable portfolio of business.
  • Track record of success in the development and execution of commercially viable strategies, with high standards of delivery in a timely, cost-effective way.
  • A commercial understanding of underwriting.
  • Able to assimilate into strategic discussions around the structuring and management of portfolios.
  • Experience of working in the London and Lloyd’s insurance markets.
