Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- Your day-to-day role will involve coordinating actuarial calculations with the junior teams on your clients, reviewing these calculations along with the associated advice.
- At consultant level, you are expected to take ownership of workstreams with support from senior members of the team.
- You’ll be encouraged to attend client meetings to help develop your consulting skills; your client list will enable you to have the opportunity to not only attend but also present at these meetings alongside senior team members.
- You will also have the opportunity to attend industry networking events, playing a key role in organizing events.
- You’ll be a qualified actuary with at least 4 years’ experience working in the UK pensions actuarial consulting environment.
- Excellent UK pensions technical knowledge – able to review core technical work such as actuarial valuation and member options calculations and pensions accounting; experience of GMP equalization is helpful (but not essential).
- Ability to propose your own ideas on ways to approach complex calculations.
- Good commercial awareness with the ability to consider agreed budgets when carrying out work.
