Responsibilities
- Technical consultant to R&D London team to drive innovation and scalability; development of mortality trend model and delivery of key assumptions
- Work on wider projects and engage external industry experts and academics
- Forge links with external industry experts and academics so that they keep abreast of developments
- Provide wider statistical training and guidance to teams in the organisation
Qualifications
- Masters or PhD in a statistical subject or interest in studying for this
- Qualified Fellow of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries or equivalent
- An established foundation in modern statistical techniques across a broad range of applications
- A good understanding of mortality trend modelling, including but not limited to the IFoA CMI Projections model
- Report writing and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to senior managers and to forge close relationships with other teams
