Responsibilities

  • Technical consultant to R&D London team to drive innovation and scalability; development of mortality trend model and delivery of key assumptions
  • Work on wider projects and engage external industry experts and academics
  • Forge links with external industry experts and academics so that they keep abreast of developments
  • Provide wider statistical training and guidance to teams in the organisation

Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in a statistical subject or interest in studying for this
  • Qualified Fellow of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries or equivalent
  • An established foundation in modern statistical techniques across a broad range of applications
  • A good understanding of mortality trend modelling, including but not limited to the IFoA CMI Projections model
  • Report writing and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to senior managers and to forge close relationships with other teams
