As part of this role, you’ll be working in the Actuarial & Consulting team, consisting of over 400 pensions consultants and actuaries advising a diverse range of clients and stakeholders across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. They advise on everything from helping trustees and sponsors to manage their defined benefit plans, running large scale communications projects and implementing alternative reward and pension provision. The range of work they get involved with is vast and there’ll be opportunities for you to gain lots of great, new experiences and put your skills to the test.
This role will sit in one of the fastest growing DB Pension consolidators in the market. The team are currently managing over 60 pension schemes of different shapes and sizes and continue to regularly attract new schemes. This is a great place to develop your actuarial career – whether that’s getting more client exposure or taking on Scheme Actuary appointments. It’s a fast-growing team and one that gives everyone the chance to influence how they develop the offering going forward.
What’s the role:
They’re looking for qualified or nearly qualified pensions actuaries with significant industry experience to join their team. As a challenger in the industry, they are looking for individuals with excellent pensions consulting and technical skills, a commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Day to day, you will be:
- Leading the delivery of advice to clients – this may include managing key client projects directly, or with support.
- Being involved in the technical aspects of projects, working with and building relationships with clients directly, working as part of a team and developing those around you.
- Assisting in the development of new business, both with existing and new clients.
- Engaging and consulting with schemes varying in asset size from as little as £1m to over £200m.

The schemes are serviced by a dedicated team with hubs based in Manchester and Scotland. They work on a hybrid basis, offering the opportunity for colleagues to split their working time between working in the office and at home.
