This role is designed to support the Senior Manager - Compliance/ Group Data Compliance Officer to execute the compliance/ data protection program and support other colleagues and the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer in applying the framework into the Group. This role is based in the London office and will support all aspects of compliance in conjunction with Group Compliance. This role reports into the Senior Manager – Compliance.
Regulatory Requirements: The role holder will have to follow all company policies to meet regulatory requirements. This includes all relevant regulatory Code of Conduct rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise on a wide range of UK related compliance and data protection matters, including technical advice to management, staff and the Board.
- Support the Senior Manager - Compliance in responding proactively to upcoming UK regulatory changes.
- Support the oversight of embedding and evidencing compliance with existing key regulatory imperatives.
- Maintain the UK regulatory library and communicate updates to management and relevant staff.
- Support the KYC and TOBA process in respect of the UK operation.
- Support the development of the clients UK and Group Financial Crime Programmes.
- Input to key UK and Group management committees.
- Prepare compliance regulatory reports and Board reports.
- Support the Complaints Management Process in respect of UK originated business.
- Deputise for the Senior Manager - Compliance as required.

Key Attributes & Professional Qualifications:
- A university degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' regulatory/ compliance experience in a similar or relevant role within the general insurance sector.
- Self-starter, capable of working under minimum supervision.
- Adept at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional research and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Familiarity with internal systems and processes.
- Able to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiently.
