What Is the Opportunity?
I am currently recruiting for a Risk Control Consultant to join my clients team based in the UK. You will be a strong advocate for Risk Control, giving risk management advice and seeking to become the trusted advisor for their insureds.
What Will You Do?
- Conducting risk control surveys at client locations to determine potential hazards and risk factors to be considered in underwriting/risk selection. This could involve assessing fire, business interruption, health and safety, motor or products liability exposures.
- Writing technically detailed reports that provide a clear assessment of risk and clearly articulates recommendations.
- Consulting with clients on ways to control hazards in order to reduce or prevent losses.
- Influencing clients to implement recommendations.
- Building and maintaining productive relationships with underwriting and service teams assigned to support the business, with the broker/agent community, with Claims, with other Risk Control staff, and with clients.
- Conducting research for underwriters or clients on class of business, operations, unique or unidentified exposures, or any other technical subject requiring similar analysis.
- Coordinating and overseeing key large accounts and managing large customer relationships.

You’ll need:
- Experience in safety, risk control, or related fields including but not limited to construction, manufacturing or relevant military experience or bachelor’s degree in related field required.
- Must be able to attain appropriate certification to meet legal requirements where applicable.
