Overview

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Develop and document proprietary software packages that integrate third‑party modelling software with the company’s existing software/databases.
  • Software analysis of advanced scientific data to model potential catastrophic events.
  • Maintain the company’s software and develop methodologies to help the company assess its exposure to various losses, including catastrophe risk position by pricing contracts, measuring marginal impact to its portfolio, and ranking them based on profitability.

Qualifications Required

Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification obtained through college or experience either in: Applied Mathematics, Statistics or Data Science related fields, or Atmospheric Science, Earth Science, Environmental Science, or related fields, or Computer Science focused on Machine Learning or other Data Science related fields.

Experience Required

Recommended to have some proficiency in programming languages, e.g., SQL, Python/R, C#, and/or JavaScript (React JS). The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical, communication and time‑management skills with the ability to work in a team environment. The candidate should demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays on rare occasions if needed.
