I am seeking an experienced Property Claims Handler to manage claims from initial notification through to settlement. This role requires strong communication, organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage new claims promptly, maintaining accurate records and files.
- Appoint appropriate specialists (e.g., loss adjusters, engineers, solicitors) where needed.
- Communicate with policyholders, brokers, and third parties to gather documentation and provide updates.
- Maintain a commercial yet customer-focused approach to claims handling.
- Escalate issues of underwriting interest to the Department Manager.
- Keep claim files up to date within the e-filing system.
- Participate in internal and external claims meetings as required.
- Liaise with industry bodies and internal departments when necessary.
- Ensure all actions align with the company’s interests and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in claims handling, primarily property-related (liability experience beneficial).
- Strong numerical and communication skills.

- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
