Purpose: Provide technical handling of marine claims within authority levels, ensuring high service standards, regulatory compliance, and effective stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle and investigate claims in line with internal procedures and market standards.
- Maintain accurate claims records, reserves, and data integrity.
- Manage claims within authority and escalate/referral where required.
- Liaise with underwriters, actuaries, legal teams, finance, brokers, and reinsurers.
- Support large loss investigations and reporting processes.
- Monitor account performance and contribute to data analysis and oversight.
- Assist with reinsurance recoveries and claims-related reporting.
- Maintain compliance with Lloyd’s standards, GDPR, AML, sanctions, and conduct risk requirements.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Participate in continuous professional development and market training.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience handling marine claims independently within delegated authority.
- Good technical knowledge of policy wording, legal principles, and market practice.
- Familiarity with London Market systems such as ECF/CLASS preferred.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Customer-focused with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications:
