Role: Claims Handler – Healthcare
Location: London (Hybrid)
Purpose: Handle Healthcare claims across predominantly US, and international business, delivering a high-quality technical claims service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage claims within authority and in line with reserving standards.
- Provide technical input and leadership on lead files.
- Produce clear and accurate Large Loss, Risk Alert, and Audit reports.
- Liaise regularly with underwriters and claims stakeholders.
- Manage TPAs and external service providers, including performance reviews and audits.
- Represent claims at client, broker, market, and internal meetings.
- Assist with coverage analysis, recoveries, and claims projects.
- Contribute to process and service improvements.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong technical claims background (Healthcare preferred; Liability/Professional Lines considered).
- Understanding of coverage and policy interpretation; US exposure beneficial.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Organised, strategic, and service-focused with strong decision-making ability.
- 2–5 years’ insurance claims experience.
