Purpose: Manage a caseload of professional indemnity and professional negligence claims while supporting complex litigation, delivering high-quality legal advice, and contributing to the wider legal practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle professional negligence claims from inception through to resolution or trial.
- Manage an independent caseload, with support on complex and high-value matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, court documents, and legal correspondence.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic case analysis.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and client meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to legal projects, committee work, and business development initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of file management, regulatory compliance, and use of legal technology.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience handling professional negligence and/or professional indemnity litigation.
- Insurance litigation experience highly desirable.
- Strong legal drafting, advocacy, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Confident managing a caseload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Organised, commercially aware, and committed to professional development.
Qualifications:
