Claims Manager – Delegated Authority

Location

London

Purpose

  • Oversee an international portfolio of delegated authority claims, providing technical leadership, performance oversight, governance and strategic direction across MGA/TPA relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee referral claims, coverage decisions, reserving and authority controls.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex and high-value claims, including fraud-related matters.
  • Manage MGA and TPA relationships, monitoring performance against MI, KPIs and SLAs.
  • Lead regular performance reviews and identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee claims audits, due diligence, peer reviews and thematic reviews.
  • Track audit findings and drive remediation and continuous improvement.
  • Use claims data and analytics to generate insight and support executive reporting.
  • Champion data visualisation, automation and AI-driven claims improvements.
  • Support onboarding, portfolio restructuring, transitions and run-off planning.
  • Work closely with Underwriting, Risk, Compliance and Operations to ensure strong governance and customer outcomes.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven claims handling, oversight or portfolio management experience; MGA/Delegated Authority preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting MI and performance data.
  • Understanding of claims governance, audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with confidence presenting to senior audiences.
  • International portfolio experience, Power BI, and exposure to AI/automation advantageous.
