We are a fully remote retention marketing agency headquartered in Los Angeles, and a proud Klaviyo Platinum Partner. We work exclusively with fast-growing, household-name DTC e-commerce brands — helping them build the kind of email, SMS, and lifecycle programs that compound revenue month over month.

We are a small, high-performance team that takes the work seriously and takes care of each other. If you’re looking for a place to do the best work of your career alongside people who actually give a damn — keep reading.

Our Beliefs

  • Excellence First: We work only with A-players — people who take pride in their craft, hold themselves to a high standard, and always push to deliver something they’re genuinely proud of.
  • Work Hard, Play Hard: Agency life can be demanding. We don’t pretend otherwise. But we also don’t believe in burning people out. That’s why we offer:
  • 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday)
  • 20 days PTO
  • 100% remote
  • Flexible scheduling with ET overlap
  • Generous learning stipends

One honest note: if work-life balance is your primary motivation for applying, this probably isn’t the right fit. We offer great benefits because we value our people, not because we’re a slow-paced environment. Join us because you’re hungry, you want to grow fast, and you’re genuinely excited to be part of something that’s scaling.

Culture of HEART

  • Honesty, Excellence, Attitude, Results, Trustworthiness. These aren’t wall decorations — they’re how we actually operate.

Empowerment & Responsibility: Freedom and accountability go hand in hand here. We hire self-driven people who own their work, communicate clearly, and care about clients and teammates as much as they care about output.

If this resonates, and you enjoy a good coconut or piña colada at sunset, you may have found your tribe.

A Note on Hours (For Our International Applicants)

This role operates on a schedule aligned with US East Coast hours (approximately 9am–6pm ET). For our team members in Europe and South Africa, this has actually become one of the most loved aspects of the role. Your mornings are completely your own. Sleep in. Exercise. Enjoy the sun. Take a slow breakfast. Start your deep strategic work when your mind is fresh — and by the time your US-based clients and teammates are starting their day, you’re already ahead of them. You’ve done your thinking, you have your answers, and you show up to every interaction sharp.

It’s not for everyone. But for the right person, it’s a genuinely great way to live and work.

The Role

As our Senior Retention Marketing Strategist, you will own strategy development, execution oversight, and client relationships for 5–8 fast-growing DTC brands. You’ll inherit existing accounts and be expected to ramp quickly; this is not a role where you ease in over six months.

You’ll work alongside a dedicated pod: Project Manager, Copywriter, Designer, and Implementation Specialist, so your focus stays on strategy, performance, and client trust. Not logistics.

For the right person, there is a clear path into pod leadership within the strategy department, and eventually into management layers between Senior Strategist and Head of Department as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution: Develop high-impact email, SMS, and lifecycle strategies aligned with each client’s revenue goals. Own segmentation architecture, automation logic, and campaign planning. Create content calendars and strategic direction (copy and design executed by the pod). Lead A/B testing strategy and drive continuous optimization. Bring forward world-class ideas grounded in data and industry trends.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track email and SMS performance, revenue attribution, and ROI. Conduct cohort-analysis, and go deep into the data. Build clear, actionable weekly and monthly reporting for clients. Proactively identify growth opportunities, retention gaps, and LTV improvements.
  • Client Relationships: Serve as the primary strategic partner for 5–8 accounts. Run client calls, present insights, and maintain trusted relationships. Identify upsell opportunities where relevant.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with your pod to ensure deliverables hit the strategic mark. Partner with PMs to keep execution on track and on time.

What Success Looks Like

  • Client Retention: Less than 5% churn per quarter.
  • ROI: Clients consistently achieving a minimum 5x return.
  • Strategic Leadership: Clients feel proactively led, not just serviced.
  • Account Load: Confidently managing 5–8 accounts simultaneously.

Who Will Thrive Here

  • Deep experience in e-commerce retention marketing, email, SMS, lifecycle, cohort-analysis, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of Klaviyo (agency experience preferred).
  • Fluent across our tech stack: Klaviyo, Slack, ClickUp, Figma, Loom, Hiro Analytics.
  • Genuinely good with AI tools, not just open to them. We are an AI-native agency and actively build with AI. This is a real requirement.
  • Analytical and creative in equal measure.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills are a hard requirement for this role. You will be the face of our agency to high-profile clients; clarity, confidence, and fluency on calls is non-negotiable. Native fluency or near-native professional fluency required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong quality instincts.
  • Resilient and adaptable in a fast-moving agency environment.
  • Familiar with deliverability best practices and CAN-SPAM compliance.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $40,000–$80,000 USD/year (location and seniority dependent).
  • 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday).
  • 20 days PTO.
  • 100% remote, flexible scheduling.
  • Generous learning stipends.
  • Real growth path into pod leadership and management.
  • A team that genuinely cares about doing great work, and about each other.

How to Apply

We run a multi-stage interview process designed to be thorough but respectful of your time. When you apply, please mention:

  • Your background in retention marketing and what you’ve built.
  • A campaign or flow you’re proud of, and why.
  • Why agency life, and why us.

We review every submission personally. If there’s a fit, we’ll be in touch quickly.
