The Elvetham Hotel is an elegant country house hotel in Hampshire, rich in history and set in 35 acres of beautiful gardens. The hotel is one of the most historic sites in Hampshire entwined in the British Royal Family. The site can be traced back to as early as the 800's AD. Today the Estate consists of 91 bedrooms shared between the Main House and The Stables, as well as four unique and flexible function rooms.

We are currently recruiting for an engaging and outgoing Bar Supervisor to join our Truly Talented team. As a Bar Supervisor, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional experience for our guests as well as overseeing the smooth operational running of the bar. You will be preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, opening and closing the bar and creating classic and innovative drinks exceeding guest needs and expectations every time.

Your role:

The ideal person for this role will be a true epicurean – a food and drink enthusiast, who maintains a solid and up-to-date understanding of the restaurant and bar scene. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of hospitality and service in the restaurant and the bar. Have in-depth knowledge of wines, cocktails and speciality drinks and take pride in learning our food menu as well. Enjoy engaging with guests, getting to know our regulars and learning to anticipate their needs. You’ll work in a busy and hardworking team environment, where you’ll continually learn and develop.

If you are passionate about managing the day-to-day operations and activities within the Bar, ensuring the team deliver an exceptional experience for our guests; a team player who communicates well with all colleagues; have previous experience as a bartender in a busy environment; excellent personal presentation; good understanding of food hygiene and health; ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision; and excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing; we encourage you to apply.
