The Elms Primary School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team on a fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils in their learning and development, helping them thrive both academically and personally. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide high-quality classroom support, ensuring all pupils can access learning opportunities and achieve success.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils in the classroom and during learning activities.
- Provide individual and small-group support, including for pupils with additional needs.
- Promote inclusion, independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Assist with the implementation of education, behaviour and personal care plans.
- Help create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Support literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities.
- Assist with educational visits, lunchtime supervision and other school activities as required.

- Has experience working with or caring for children.

- Has knowledge of child development and learning strategies (desirable).
