The Elms Surgery Watford are seeking a regular Locum Practice Nurse to cover holidays and sickness cover from July 2026 onwards. From 1-3 days a week, days to suit candidate. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support in a GP practice setting.
Main duties of the job:
- Smears
- Travel immunisations
- Chronic disease clinics (Asthma, Diabetes)
- Ordering vaccine on Immform
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care

Our EMIS practice serves 9500 patients in Central Watford, supported by a multidisciplinary team including 3 GPs, 4 Physician Associates, a Practice Nurse, an HCA, a social prescriber, care coordinators, and a fully staffed admin and reception team.
Job responsibilities:
- Qualified Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- EMIS trained
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach
Qualifications:
- GP Practice Nurse
- Qualified Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Experience:
- Experiences in NHS General Practice.
