We are seeking a Cover Manager and Administration Assistant to assist with the daily organisation of staff cover. We are looking for a highly organised and quick-thinking individual who will embrace the daily challenges of arranging staff cover in our vibrant and thriving school. Cover management is the main responsibility of the role; however, there are some additional duties, including staffing reception and attendance administration, that will work around this.
The Elmgreen School became part of the Dunraven Educational Trust in September 2021, and together, we are focused on developing an exciting, dynamic and progressive community focused on improving the outcomes for children and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Cover Responsibilities: ensuring that there is adequate cover for absent teaching staff, including liaison with Teacher Supply Agencies for long- and short-term cover; maintaining a cover diary and ensuring known authorised absences are published in the weekly staff diary and shared electronically with the Trust HR Team; ensuring that cover is distributed in an equitable way.
- Additional Responsibilities: receiving and welcoming visitors and deliveries, informing appropriate staff and ensuring visitors sign into the school and are given security badges; providing effective communication links (telephone, email, reception and messages).
