Wiser is looking for a Brand Strategist to understand client objectives around recruitment and engagement, and develop employer brands and strategies that deliver on those needs. You will create the right words and visuals to capture culture and translate them into action within an organization. This role reports to the Director of Research and Strategy.
Responsibilities
- Work with the research team to identify culture gaps and deduce implications for the brand.
- Conduct industry scans to analyse trends and develop leading insights and platforms.
- Develop employee value propositions (EVPs) for clients across global industries and markets.
- Translate research and audience data into rich personas to inform messaging strategies.
- Translate complex ideas into clear insights.
- Develop differentiated and effective brand positioning.
- Craft compelling brand narratives that communicate the client's story, purpose and EVP.
- Create clear brand frameworks, including voice and visual guidelines, to guide creative execution.
- Build strategic messaging that can roll out across various mediums such as films, content series, and social activations.
- Support creative work through to production, providing constructive feedback and collaborating with account teams to manage client delivery.
- Develop briefs that inspire creative teams across films, social, design and copywriting.
- Create annual planning and employer brand strategies that meet client objectives.
- Understand and improve candidate and employee journeys through employer branding.
- Serve as a thought partner for social, campaigns and other teams, ensuring alignment with the brand world and driving impact.
- Define KPIs and measurement approaches, and guide creative work to achieve strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in brand strategy, ideally within an agency environment or a mix of agency and client-side work; bonus if you have worked on employer branding, culture, or purpose-driven brands.
- Proven ability to think critically and synthesise complex insights from research, trends and data into actionable strategies.
- Experience in brand naming, positioning, building brand worlds, campaign messaging and defining creative principles that guide impactful work.
- Strong storyteller and communicator: able to create decks and lead client-facing presentations.
- A natural eye for design and detail, understanding how verbal and visual identities combine to build memorable brands.
- A collaborative and adaptable working style.
