What's this role all about?

We're looking for a friendly, practical IT Support Assistant to take on the day-to-day so the office keeps humming, people get sorted quickly, and nothing sits in a queue for days.

This is a hands-on, in-office role for someone who likes fixing things, likes people even more and takes real pride in being the person everyone's glad to see walking over to their desk.

You'll be the first port of call for anything tech in the office.

Someone's new laptop won't connect to a monitor, a meeting room camera has died five minutes before a client call, a new starter needs their accounts set up before day one, a licence needs granting.

You'll pick it up, sort it, and keep it moving.

You'll work alongside our IT Operations Lead, who'll set you up with clear guides for the common jobs and take on anything bigger.

Your focus is getting the everyday stuff done well and making people feel looked after while you do it.

What will you spend your time doing?

  • Accounts, access and software
  • Set up and manage accounts across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Teams, Slack, and the tools our teams use day to day
  • Grant software licences and access (Claude, Figma, Asana and the rest), handle permission changes and shared inboxes
  • Run password resets and sort sign-in issues
  • Keep our records tidy as you go, so we always know who has what
  • Onboarding and offboarding
  • Get new starters fully set up before they arrive: laptop, accounts, access, desk kit
  • Be a warm, calm first face of Wiser tech on someone's first day
  • Handle leavers cleanly when people move on: accounts closed, kit returned
  • Office tech, AV and meeting rooms
  • Keep meeting rooms call-ready: cameras, screens, mics, screen sharing and mirroring
  • Set up and fix monitors, TVs and office displays
  • Sort the small hardware stuff fast: chargers, cables, keyboards, peripherals
  • Kit and cable management
  • Keep desks and meeting spaces tidy and working, no more dodgy cables and half-dead sockets
  • Manage stock of cables, chargers and accessories so we don't run dry
  • Network and everyday fixes
  • First-line triage on Wi Fi and connection issues, log them, sort the quick wins, elevate the rest
  • Keep printers and shared kit running
  • Chase suppliers when something needs ordering or repairing

What are we looking for?

Experience

  • Some hands-on IT or tech support experience, in an office, a helpdesk, a shop, anywhere you've fixed real problems for real people
  • Comfortable on Mac (our whole fleet is Apple)
  • Familiar with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 / Teams, or a fast learner who'll pick them up quickly
  • Any experience with meeting room AV or cabling is a real plus
  • Mindset
  • Approachable, kind and genuinely happy to help.

This is the big one.

You'll be the face of tech on the floor, and we want people to feel welcome coming to you, whatever the question

  • Calm under pressure, especially when something breaks right before a big call
  • Organised and reliable, you finish what you pick up and keep things tidy
  • Proactive, you spot the thing that's about to break before it does
  • Nice to have
  • Experience with an MDM (we use Kandji)
  • Worked in a creative or agency environment before
  • Some familiarity with Saa S admin and licence management
  • The details
  • Part-time, roughly two days a week, based in our London office
  • This is an office role, the work is hands-on and on-site, so there's no remote option
  • Starting as a contract for the first couple of months, with a view to continuing if it's a good fit on both sides
  • Day/hourly rate depending on experience, discussed at interview
