As our Head of Films, you’ll lead the team that creates video magic for our clients. We have an 8‑person team of videographers, photographers, editors, animators, content creators and producers who create end‑to‑end video productions for clients such as On, Frasers Group, Sky, L’Oreal, Kraft Heinz, Worldpay, McCain, Comcast and many more. The team is bolstered by the creative brains of our researchers, strategists and designers, and kept on track by our brilliant project managers and account directors. They’re a talented bunch, and need a leader who adequately inspires them, levels up their creative thinking, and keeps them motivated when energy runs low on a two‑week shoot. Films are a massive part of the Wiser identity, so this role will be central to our creative offering. We have big growth plans (in team size, revenue and creative ideas) and we’re excited to find the person who’ll help us get there.
WHAT WILL YOU SPEND YOUR TIME DOING?
- Oversight of every project in the Films pipeline, from social‑first content for retainer clients to big‑bang hero videos.
- Work with Creative Operations on resourcing and forecasting – decisions on who works on what, time investment per project, and team members for each shoot.
- Responsible for our Films sales pipeline and annual targets, pitching and selling films to clients with warm leads.
- Own creative output – level up ideation, production quality, post‑production polish; quality control ensuring no work is sent to clients without your review.
- Collaborate with other Heads of teams to deliver end‑to‑end award‑winning work.
- Run the team’s weekly rhythm – daily stand‑ups, weekly 1:1s, and regular brainstorms and creative sessions to keep the team inspired.
- Develop and grow the people on the team, supporting them to achieve their goals.
- Based in our HQ in Farringdon Monday‑Thursday, Friday WFH; present during shoots – remote/hybrid applicants will not be considered.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- 10+ years of agency‑based film experience.
- Producer or videographer with technical end‑to‑end film knowledge.
- In‑depth understanding of our kit.
- Experience managing a team of filmmakers.
- A love for all things film, driving best‑in‑class work across hero videos, campaigns and always‑on social.
- Flexibility for regular shoots worldwide – US, UAE, Europe (not required on every shoot).
- Experience in high‑volume production, handling tight deadlines (e.g., 8‑week hero campaigns or 8‑hour edits).
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
- High‑performance company culture that supports rapid growth.
- Breakfast and snacks in our award‑winning HQ in Farringdon.
- Regular events and socials – from black‑tie nights to barbecues.
- Support from our Happiness team focused on wellbeing.
- Full suite of Apple tech plus additional gear as needed, with in‑house Apple Genius.
- Office environment and team dynamics that bring out the best.
- Additional wellness support such as therapy budget and Vitality health insurance.
