Our Client and Role

Our client is a leading provider of electronic design and assembly services, covering the entire product lifecycle from initial design and prototyping to volume manufacturing, service, maintenance, and repair.

Position: SMT Operator

Salary: Circa £25,000

Location: Within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the successful candidate will have experience in producing high-complexity assemblies using Juki and/or Europlacer machines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. The production of high-complexity assemblies using Juki and Europlacer machines.
  2. Line configuration and setup.
  3. Kitting and de-kitting of surface mount machines.
  4. Machine operation and programming.
  5. Solder paste printing.
  6. Manual component insertion.
  7. In-process quality inspection.
  8. Rework activities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with all SMT assembly processes and knowledge of IPC-610 quality standards would be advantageous.

Benefits and Working Conditions

  • 20 days holiday plus an additional day for each complete year of service, up to a maximum of 24 days, plus paid bank holidays.
  • 5% employer pension contribution and 4% employee contribution.
  • Free parking.
  • 4-day working week: Monday to Thursday, 7am to 5pm.
