Our client is a successful Electronics Manufacturing company based in Bridgwater, Somerset and we are looking to appoint a third PCB Inspector.

The PCB Inspector will be required to visually inspect assembled PCBs and Electronic Assemblies to ensure that they meet quality standards and our customers' requirements.

Duties/tasks will include:

  • Inspect PCBs to IPC-A-610, class 3 to ensure quality of product using the latest magnification equipment, AOI & Xray.
  • Liaise with Production.
  • Assist and support Production Technicians by discussing faults and findings to include Internal Training of the Team.
  • Manage and resolve inspection queries and raising NCR's as applicable.
  • Monitor build, quality and report quality issues as necessary.
  • Action rework as necessary.

Other skills/knowledge required:

  • Understand component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and ICs.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM).
  • Previous inspection and assembly experience to IPC-A-610 class 2 minimum desirable.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time on repetitive tasks.
  • Able to work effectively to deadlines.
  • Demonstrates proactive approach.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Dexterity, Good Hand and Eye coordination.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: DOE 37-40K

Hours: Mon-Thurs 8-5, Fri 8-2.30

Holiday: 28 days inc BH + 3 days at Xmas close down

Spoken & Written English essential.
