We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electronics Test Development Engineer with expertise in Automated Test Equipment. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge testing solutions for advanced electronic systems. You will be focused on the delivery of high-quality, high-reliability test solutions to a wide range of customers with deployments globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automated test solutions tailored to complex electronics systems.
  • Design and develop electronic test fixtures to support functional test applications.
  • Design, write and debug test programs using LabVIEW, TestStand.
  • Commissioning of Test Applications for Customers - either remote or on site at Customer premises.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision and with a high level of autonomy.
  • Support others in the team with their personal/professional development.
  • Keep accurate and effective documentation records, as well as tracking project costs to ensure the project is delivered effectively, including costs, time, quality, etc.
  • Provide assistance in the creation of project bids/tenders for new and existing customers.
  • Interact directly with Customers both during the development phases as well as providing outstanding customer service to customers post-delivery during any support.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Electrical design.
  • HNC/D in Electronic Engineering may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in test development engineering (ideally within Test Development) and knowledge of standard instrumentation, e.g. PXI and LXI instruments.
  • Proficiency in the use of NI software design tools, such as LabVIEW, TestStand, etc. to produce functional test programs.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and logic analysers.
  • Holds (or can gain) security clearance for projects that require such approvals.
  • Full UK (or EU) Driving License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in custom hardware design.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis methods and tools for test data.
  • Working knowledge of additional programming languages - e.g. Python.
