Job Description: I am looking for a skilled and motivated CAD Designer to join my client’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing 2D drawings using AutoCAD for electrical works, assisting in lighting designs, and providing support for various electrical systems, including fire detection and emergency lighting. Key Responsibilities: CAD Drawing Creation: Produce 2D drawings using AutoCAD for electrical systems, including: Small Power Lighting Fire Detection System Other electrical designs as needed. Drawing Production: Create drawings for estimating, working designs, and As-Builts based on templates provided. Site Visits: Make site visits (UK-wide) to assist with the production of drawings as necessary. Design Meetings: Attend and/or arrange design meetings in person, via telephone, or through video conferencing. Lighting Design: Use Dialux software to produce lighting designs and undertake lighting design calculations, including 3D modeling. Lighting Calculation Reports: Produce detailed lighting calculation reports.Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficient in AutoCAD for electrical design. Prepared to work in their Skipton office (office-based, not negotiable). Hold a valid driving license. Strong communication skills, both internal and external. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. Willingness to undertake training in Emergency Lighting Design and Fire Detection and Alarm design.Desirable Skills & Qualifications: Experience in producing electrical design drawings using AutoCAD. Familiarity with the use of Dialux software for lighting designs.
