We’re revolutionising the way businesses provide electric vehicles to their employees! Our salary sacrifice scheme makes it simple and cost effective for companies to offer electric vehicles to their employees at savings of 20-50%. We’ve recently extended our service by launching The Charge Scheme – allowing employees to save 20-50% on electric car charging through salary sacrifice. We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused General Manager to lead The Charge Scheme. This role is responsible for growing this new service line into a large and profitable business line, taking the day-to-day lead for The Charge Scheme.
What you’ll be doing
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for The Charge Scheme to grow into a large profitable business line.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to track business performance.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations for The Charge Scheme ensuring customers are receiving the expected service and value.
- Understand the needs of our customers to direct the development and investment into the product.
- Manage technology partners ensuring reliability of service and improvements.
- Work across Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Marketing and Technology to execute the growth plan.
- Establish a high-performance culture and align the broader team with business goals.
- Take responsibility for the P&L of the new business line, including pricing strategy and cost control.
- Lead commercial negotiations with vendors and partners.
Compliance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations on salary sacrifice.
- Work with legal and HR to maintain policy documentation, employee contracts, and data security.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Report regularly to the executive team.
- Build relationships with key corporate clients, suppliers, and integration partners.
What you bring to the role
- Significant experience in strategy and/or commercial roles.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability.
- Proven track record in launching or scaling a service-based business.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Extremely good problem-solving skills.
- Data-driven and comfortable working with tech teams.
- Customer-obsessed mindset with a high bar for product experience.
- Demonstrate initiative and high performance in previous roles.
- Consulting, tech or start-up experience would be an advantage but not a must!
