Role Overview

The Education Specialists (TES) are recruiting on behalf of a Primary School in the Oldham area (OL1). We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with additional needs. The successful Teaching Assistant must be available to start as soon as checks have been completed.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting individuals to complete set tasks within the classroom
  • Promoting independence within the school environment
  • Supporting small groups under the direction of the teacher
  • Implementing behaviour strategies
  • Working in partnership with teachers and other TAs to provide a stable, positive learning environment
  • Supporting SEN pupils
  • Supervising activities with pupils

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm.

Qualifications

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Significant experience working in schools
  • Experience supporting and managing young people in environments such as youth groups, sports coaching, and mentoring
  • Experience with SEN
  • Other education professionals with these skills and experience
