Role Overview
The Education Specialists (TES) are recruiting on behalf of a Primary School in the Oldham area (OL1). We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with additional needs. The successful Teaching Assistant must be available to start as soon as checks have been completed.
Responsibilities
- Supporting individuals to complete set tasks within the classroom
- Promoting independence within the school environment
- Supporting small groups under the direction of the teacher
- Implementing behaviour strategies
- Working in partnership with teachers and other TAs to provide a stable, positive learning environment
- Supporting SEN pupils
- Supervising activities with pupils
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm.
Qualifications
- Teaching Assistant qualification
- Significant experience working in schools
- Experience supporting and managing young people in environments such as youth groups, sports coaching, and mentoring
- Experience with SEN
- Other education professionals with these skills and experience
