About the Role
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join a children's care home in the Yeovil (BA22) area. This role offers a variety of shifts, and we are particularly looking for individuals who can demonstrate flexibility across days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people
- Promote a safe, structured, and positive living environment
- Support with daily routines including education, activities, and life skills
- Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care plans
