Long term SEND Teaching Assistant to start in September 2025, full time Monday to Friday 8:30am-4pm. You will be joining an experienced and supportive team, where there is a real togetherness within the staff team.

The school has provision for pupils aged 4-16 years old who have an education, health, and care plan (EHCP) that reflects their special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) due to having Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and complex Autism.

Experience of working with children is essential but not necessarily in the classroom. If you have personal experience of supporting children with additional needs, perhaps a family member, or perhaps if you have a care background this would be ideal.

We are looking for someone who has lots of empathy, a nurturing approach, and a positive and energetic attitude. The school offers a creative curriculum, a very child centred and nurturing approach, designed to meet their individual needs.

The successful candidate will be fully involved in the classroom and must demonstrate an understanding of how to meet the needs of the children with Autism and be confident supporting their learning and development and planning for next step.

Commitment to a full time position is essential as this opportunity will lead to a permanent position direct with school.
