The Education Specialists (TES) are seeking committed and dependable Teaching Assistants across Manchester to join our supply pool for a range of opportunities, including day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements.

Main responsibilities of a Primary Teaching Assistant include:

  • Offering targeted support to pupils who require additional guidance, such as those with SEND or those learning English as an additional language
  • Providing general assistance within KS1 and KS2 classrooms
  • Supporting individuals or small groups to help consolidate learning from whole-class teaching
  • Encouraging pupils to engage positively, stay on task, and develop confidence
  • Collaborating closely with class teachers and wider staff to help achieve learning goals

Who we’re looking for:

  • Individuals with recent experience working with children or within an educational setting (paid or voluntary)
  • Someone with a proactive, encouraging approach and a strong commitment to supporting pupil welfare
  • Applicants with great communication skills and effective behaviour management strategies
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • Experience supporting children with SEND is highly valued
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are beneficial but not required
