The Education Specialists (TES) are a recruitment business, recruiting on behalf of a school in Oldham for a Qualified Primary Teacher to teach in a Year 4 class for the Summer term. This role will include various tasks such as:

  • Planning and delivering of engaging lessons.
  • Being willing and able to work with KS1 and KS2 pupils, managing behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Delivering engaging and interesting lessons in line with the current National Curriculum.
  • Ensuring all marking is completed and hand over notes are left.
  • Engaging with the pupils and keeping them on task, assisting with queries where possible.
  • Dealing with any immediate issues or emergencies according to the school policies and procedures.
  • Assessing pupil progress.

Applicant requirements:

  • Candidates must hold Qualified Teacher Status, have experience teaching in UK primary schools and be able to fully commit to the post.
  • All applicants will be required to hold an enhanced DBS disclosure registered with the online update service or be willing to purchase a new one.
  • The school will consider ECTs.
  • Be an outstanding classroom practitioner who has high expectations of children and their learning.
  • Has knowledge of effective strategies to raise attainment and progress & can work well as part of a team.
  • Is creative and constantly looking for ways to engage and inspire children.
  • Has good organisational and classroom management skills.

  • This role is full time, Mon – Fri but a part-time option will be considered.
