The Education Specialists (TES) are a recruitment business, recruiting on behalf of a school in Oldham for a Qualified Primary Teacher to teach in a Year 1 class for the next academic year.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Being willing and able to work with KS1 pupils, managing behaviour in line with school policies.
- Delivering engaging and interesting lessons in line with the current National Curriculum.
- Ensuring all marking is completed and hand over notes are left.
- Engaging with the pupils and keeping them on task, assisting with queries where possible.
- Dealing with any immediate issues or emergencies according to the school policies and procedures.
Candidates must hold Qualified Teacher Status, have experience teaching in UK primary schools and be able to fully commit to the post. All applicants will be required to hold an enhanced DBS disclosure registered with the online update service or be willing to purchase a new one. The school will consider ECT's.
Requirements:
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner who has high expectations of children and their learning.
- Have knowledge of effective strategies to raise attainment and progress & can work well as part of a team.
- Be creative and constantly looking for ways to engage and inspire children.
- Have good organisational and classroom management skills.

- This role is full time, Mon – Fri but a part-time option will be considered.
